Creating Transparent Gif89a

Method I: Transparent gif89a using Lview Pro.

  1. Create a gif file.
  2. 'File > Open' gif file.
  3. 'Options > Background'
  4. Pick the background color from the palette or
    Or press Dropper and click the object on the part of the background.
  5. 'Options > Background' and note the index # (a # between 1 and 255)
  6. Press Ok
  7. 'File > Save As'
Method II: Transparent gif89a using Paint Shop Pro.

  1. Open a GIF image.
  2. 'Select Tool box > Eyedropper'.
  3. With the eyedropper, choose a background color by right-clicking on the area of the image that you want to be transparent.
  4. 'File > Save As'.
  5. Choose GIF as the file type, and "GIF89a interlaced" or "GIF89a non-interlaced" as the file sub-type.
  6. 'Option > make background color transparent'
  7. 'Save'
Method III: Install Photoshop's Export gif89a Filter.
