1. File > New with a background of your choice.
2. Type the text.
3. Edit > Stroke > Inside, pixel=1with dark color to give edges standout.
4. Select Gradient Tools.
5. Define color from Dark Copper to Light Copper to simulate Copper.
6. Go to Gradient Editor, where you should spend lots of time to figure out in order to get the effects you want.
7. I set the gradient value 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 100%. You should refer the to manual on how to set these values. A little bit of trials will make you comfortable setting it.
8. If it goes as planned, you will see curved up and down colored strips in the Gradient Tool Options box.
9. Apply Gadient diagonally from upper left to lower right.
10. Add Drop Shadow. (You are not required to do).
11. Applying Light Effects will glow the surface.
