- File > New.
- Channel > New Channel.
- Draw a circle inside the rectangle and fill it with white. (Setting Grid On helps to locate the circle).
- Copy the circle to the other 3 corners.
- Use rectangular marquee tool to fill the circle with white. You should see a rounded cornered button filled with white. It's tricky but will polish your skills. Experiment!
- Channel > Click RGB.
- Layer > New Layer.
- Ctrl + Alt + 4 to load the channel #4.
- Gradient Tool > and apply the color from the point of light source. Gradient is Foreground To Background, and Type is Radial as you will apply the gradient over the rounded object.
- Select > Modify > Contract to make a button.
- Gadient. Set the color from darker to lighter ( the opposite of the above step). You should now see a rounded cornered beveled button.
- Add text.
- Voila!
