- File > New.
- Click on Instant Mask.
- Type the text.
- Cut the text to the Clipboard (Ctrl+X).
- Paste the text back (Ctrl+V).
- Ctrl+D to unfloat the selection.
- Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur.
- Paste the text from the clipboard to make the text darker.
- Ctrl+D to unfloat the selection.
- Channel > RGB
- Filter>Render>Lighting Effects.
- Select Light Type: Omni, Texture Channel: Quick Mask. Uncheck White is high.
- Play with the variables.
- Move the gray handle of the light to the upper left until you get you desired effect. OK.
- Paste from the clipboard.
- Images > Adjust > Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+J)
- Check the Colorize box.
- Play with the colors. Then click OK.
- Ctrl+D to unfloat the selection.
- Here you go!
