  1. File > New.
  2. Click on Instant Mask.
  3. Type the text.
  4. Cut the text to the Clipboard (Ctrl+X).
  5. Paste the text back (Ctrl+V).
  6. Ctrl+D to unfloat the selection.
  7. Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur.
  8. Paste the text from the clipboard to make the text darker.
  9. Ctrl+D to unfloat the selection.
  10. Channel > RGB
  11. Filter>Render>Lighting Effects.
  12. Select Light Type: Omni, Texture Channel: Quick Mask. Uncheck White is high.
  13. Play with the variables.
  14. Move the gray handle of the light to the upper left until you get you desired effect. OK.
  15. Paste from the clipboard.
  16. Images > Adjust > Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+J)
  17. Check the Colorize box.
  18. Play with the colors. Then click OK.
  19. Ctrl+D to unfloat the selection.
  20. Here you go!
