I heard that these pictures and the story were published in a newspaper in Taiwan.

The author found the female sparrow hit by a car and was dead(?) and the male partner seemed like not admitting the female partner was dead; thus protecting her from other sparrows approaching.

As the scene happened in the street, the author moved the dead sparrow to the side of the road.

I still haven't found an original story from the Taiwan newspaper.
