E85. Eating while Surfing the Net

Being a single, I usually eat out. After moving to San Jose 3 1/2 years ago, having little friends here, I usually take the dinner bag home and eat in front of computer monitor while surfing the net.

At first, I didn't feel comfortable, but pretty soon I've got so used to it, such that eating alone in the table makes me lose appetite. So I take the dinner plate to the desk and put in front of keyboard. My right hand is busy switching between the mouse (to navigate the web browser) and chopsticks (or spoon or fork) to eat.

Occasionally I try to eat at the table with the music on to concetrate on eating (in the traditional sense), but even seating alone at the table makes me feel uncomfortable already. While eating at the table, I keep looking for some activities not to bore myself as chewing is the only thing I can do while eating all by myself. Now I don't even try to eat at the table all by myself anymore.

I hear a lot of noise on why eating while using the computer is bad, but I feel more comfortable eating while surfing. I don't think I will change this habbit for a while.
