| E49. Information is not Knowledge |
Internet has allowed many of us exposed to materials which has not been readily available to non-expert. Some futurists and journalists put this as information highway.
I want to stress out that "information is not knowledge".
The information has to be processed, based upon gatherer's educations and experiences, to be added to the realm of one's knowledge. Without that processing, it's just a b-lls--t.
There's bunch of valuable informations on the internet which I'll never need to know about. So what's the big deal with those informations? As for the materials I need, I would get it in whatever means.
Internet will definitely play an important role for our future, but it's just one of the factors. Man, with his brain for creativity, plays the most important function for our survival into the future.
