This is a response to a question why I named my homepage vNotepages.

I can't come up with a fancy name for my page. I'm still looking for a better name :-)

I always carry notebook and sketchbook with lots of pens and pencils in my paratrooper pack to jot down and draw wherever I sit down. My notebook and sketchbook is a loose-leaf three ring binder with lots of unlined white 8 1/2 x 11-papers. After scribbling down page by page for writing and drawing, I put it in the loose-leaf three ring binder. It's very handy and easy to organize as I don't have to tear it out at all. Calling notepages seems like tell it all.

Virtual is the magic word these days. As I'm putting my notepages online, I decided to put virtual somewhere. Thus vNotepages came out.

As for the background, I tried to put patterns of sketchbooks and notes as the name implies. Unfortunately there's little variations on the selections, but it's working in some ways for the design of my homepage.

For a while, I called it eNotepages for electronic stuff, but found vNotepages more sexy. I'll make mine an electronic portfolio of 3-D computer graphics animations and images, so I think I should have a more appropriate name or break it into several sites (for vNotepages and vPortfolio or else).
