E20. On sharing of information on the internet.

I believe every information should be shared by everyone. That is specifically true for internet users. By surfing the web, we get lots of freely downloadable informations. Those infos helped to generate the opinions we have now directly or indirectly.

It's not uncommon to find people who hesitate to share ideas with others. They say they don't want to give it freely. Probably greater portion of their holdings came from other's sharing of informations. I can't force them at all to share their storage of informations with me.

In my experience, I found quite a number of people are willing to share ideas and informations with others, and appreciate their kindness and philosophy.

I admit that I hesitate sometimes to give out my tips as I put so much energy into it and worry I might not get a credit for it. But I give out eventually. I was told to imagine someone become happy with that tips. It relieved me.

Even though there's lots of informations around waiting to be read by you, only few take the real advantage of it. Most people are excited that there are free informations all around, but they seldom go beyond that. Those informations are doing no good to most people. Whether knowing that vast amount of free informations are around or not, it won't make most people's life and thinking any better, as they don't use it at all.

As for few people who really utilizes information he needs, he would get those from whatever resources, even if I don't give it to them directly . That relieved me to give out tips which is to be utilized or misused or dormant on the internet.

Los Angeles Times and many newspapers are online. Whether I pay 35 cents for it to read or read free through the internet, I get the information I need from it. Either method has both advantages and disadvantages. LA Times is not losing money at all by providing free news services. (If it is not so, they wouldn't do it ).

As I got it from internet, I feel I obliged to give it back to internet whatever consequences I generate from it. (Sep-1-97)
