| E132. Glancing Through Titles of Books on Your Book Shelf |
Just by glancing through titles of books on your book shelves, you get nostalgic on good times when you read those books. That's why any book readers want to have a good collection of books on their book shelf. At least that's what I did and most of my friends did and are doing now.
When I have a chance to visit someone's house, I try to glance through the titles of the owner's bookshelf to find out about him/her. Frequently I find the owner's taste or past experience is not what I know him/her at the moment. Their diverse facets and backgrounds are usually hidden until I get to know them better, and their reading habit is a good indication of that for me to find out.
Of course, if they put all of their books in the storage as I did for the last several years, there's no way to find about that, sadly.
As I was on travelling modes for the last several years, I put all of my books except for a dozen or so coomputer language manuals, into boxes and stored in the garage hoping to put all those books back to book shelves soon, which I can't do in a year or so.
What's surprising was I didn't miss those books much on my bookshelf at all, and I even got rid of bookshelves to keep my belongings minimum. As I collect more books and data, I just put into storage thesedays to keep my computing environment mobile.
