The present design of my homepage is probably 7 or 8th version since 93 (or 94?) when the concept of WWW was first introduced. I put mostly papers on line so that I could share it with others and organize my own writings easily.

Lynx and NCSA X/Mosaic were the tools at that time and I didn't bother much with designs like everyone else at that time. It has been less than 2 years since I have to consider design first rather than content. Most people judge the quality of the homepage by the appearance rather than the content.

As a hobby and amateur-turned-graphics-consultant, I have to cope with trend which most people think approriate to sell my Web Design services. I need to explore the many possibilities for the design. So instead of making continuous and monotonous impression of my homepage, I decided to put different format for each frames; thus employing inconsistent but varying design concept utilizing frames.

Many visitors complain to me that mine is huge and they can't concentrate on it. My suggestion is: each frame covers different subject and when visiting different frame, refresh yourself.

When designing homepage for clients, I'll have to put client's requirements into the design. But for my own one, it should be the place to express myself freely. That's why I want to call mine as Notepages where I scribble and jot down my ideas.

I'll eventually convert this to electronic portfolio of 3-D graphics arts, 3-D modeling &, rendering, animation and VRML site. Due to the bandwidth limitation, it will just give you a flair of what it is like and what I did and am doing now.

As for essays, it will let you see more of me or you'll get distorted impression on me. Some personal opinions might be too radical to some. Read with your discretion. But don't flame me emails with my opinions for clarification. Essays section is there to help you see more of me. If you don't agree, ignore it. (5-7-97)
